For cheesy `Reunion,' we won't find out whodunit

The gimmick of Fox's "Reunion" was that each episode depicted one year in the 20-year friendship of six pals. Scenes set in the present day revealed that one of the six, Samantha (Alexa Davalos), had been killed, likely by one of her five friends.

So there were howls from those addicted to "Reunion's" guilty pleasures (it could be pretty cheesy at times) when Fox canceled the show last week. Sadly, it doesn't look we'll find out whodunit any time soon.

A Fox spokesman says the network plans to air six more episodes of the program -- two in December and four in early 2006.

But "Reunion" executive producer Jon Feldman issued this statement Friday: "Because the events of Samantha's murder are partially reliant on characters we haven't yet met -- and events we haven't yet seen -- there is no way to solve the mystery of her murder without being able to complete the full arc of our story through [the] present day. I greatly regret that this question along with many others that the series has posed will remain unsolved."

FOX CAN NOT DO THIS to me! This is a outrage!
